Frank Ganseter came to the district as a young bachelor in 1910 or '11 and homesteaded the SE. 15-57-5. This is the quarter that Wises bought later on. He built a log house on the place and did a littIe farming. He was a good violinist and pIayed by note. This farming life didn't seem to appeal to him and he left before proving up his homestead.
