In 1937, Mr. Daniel Prosyk, was killed instantly in a mill carriage. When Mr. Kozak, the sawyer reversed sawmill accident while taking slabs away off the the log carriage, the dangling piece of coat sleeve caught on the reversed carriage throwing Mr. Prosyk onto the moving saw blade of the circular saw which instantly cut his body almost in half. He was buried in the Primrose cemetery. Following the accident Mr. Kozak sold his sawmill and quit sawing lumber.
