Spring Park News

On July 2nd, the Community had a very nice picnic on the Hall Grounds followed by a dance at night with a very large crowd and good music.

The Ladies held their July, meeting at the home of Mrs. Jimmy McHugh. Nearly all the members were present. Also was pleased to have Mrs. Jack Booth and Mrs. Cliff Shore as visitors to our meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Booth and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Shore have returned to Edmonton after spending two weeks on the Booths newly purchased land, fixing the house etc.

We are all very sorry of the passing away of Mr. Harry Ramsbottom of Elk Point. Our deepest sympathy goes to Leatha and  Larry and Jimmy.

We certainly have been having lovely  weather for picnic's fishing, etc. The water at Whitney Lake is lovely and warm for swimming.

Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Lawrence and Richard and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sarachuk and Ernie and Mrs. Gertie Swanson are spending their holidays at Greenwood B.C., visiting relations.

The Spring Park Baseball team are having a dance at the Hall on July 16th, do hope there will be a good crowd to help the boys.

Miss Doreen Brown is now employed at the Elk Point Hospital.

Mis Doris Holley is spending her holidays at her parent™s home. She is employed in Edmonton.
