Spring Park District News

Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Russel were her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Henry of Calgary.

Mrs. Myshaniuk Sr. of Myrnam is a guest at her son's home, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Myshaniuk.

Mr. and Mrs. Felix Gozjolko and Richard spent Sunday in Two Hills with their daughter.

The Spring Park ladies' meeting was held at the home of Miss Betty Staults with a nice turn out of members. The Hostess prize was won by Mrs. Polly Gozjolko. Polly also won the Booby prize which caused some excitement.

Mrs. Hazel Staults has been canvassing for the Red Cross, for the last ten year. Good going Hazel.

A shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Myshaniuk in honour of their son Peter and his bride to be, Sharon. They received loads of lovely gifts.

A lovely lunch was served by the hostess. The couple will be married on March 12 with a super and dance to follow in the Spring Park Hall. The happy couple will make their home in Calgary.

Mr. 0. C. Graves Sr. , better known as Grandad Graves has left the Elk Point hospital to make his home with his son and daughter-in-law in Prince George, B.C. He will be missed by many of his friends. We all wish him a speedy recovery.

The Spring Park ladies' club has started a Cemetery fund for the Cemetery East of Elk Point, and are wondering if anyone or any organization would like to contribute toward it. For more information please contact Mrs. Vic. Scott or Mrs. Gus Helliquist in Spring Park.

The four top players in the .Spring Park Crib tournament were: 1st, Bill Russel; 2nd, Dean Staults; 3rd, Vince Lorensen; 4th, Olga Lorensen. The four players played off at the home of Mr. and Mrs. V. Lorenson on Sunday afternoon. Dean won over Olga, Bill  won over Vince. Dean took 1st trophy, Bill 2nd. Dean will go to the finals at the Salt Plant to play for the big Trophy.  Good luck, Dean.Mr. Louie-Remillard is canvassing the district for the Polio fund.
