Spring Park

Mr. and Mrs. Buster Valentine were visitors with many of their friends in the Spring Park district. They are old timers in the district and it was nice seeing them again.

Mr. George Smith has returned from a trip to Edmonton where he visited with his wife who is confined to hospital.

The Spring Park Ladies meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Oryschuk, where Mrs. Buster Valentine was a guest, also Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Scott. The hostess prize was won by Mrs. Gray Stone, Mrs. Russell won the booby prize.

The Spring Park Community has started a cemetery fund for the cemetery cast of Elk Point. If any person or organization wishes to contribute, please send your donations to Mrs. Vic Scott, treasurer, or Mrs.  Gus Hellquist, secretary, care of Spring Park Ladies Committee.

Congratulations to Lester Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, who graduated from Grade 12 on May 6th.

Mr. Gary Smith is home from Edmonton University helping his father with spring work.

A surprise welcome party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Russell on Saturday May 7th. Mr. Gerald Stults presented Mr. and Mrs. Russell with a beautiful picture tray on behalf of the Spring Park Community. A wiener roast followed the party. Mr. and Mrs. Russell thanked everyone graciously for making this party a success and for the beautiful gift.
